As for the word "evening" #6153, it means, simply, evening.

Genesis 24:11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of
the evening (6153), even the time that women go out to draw water.

Ask yourself this question, "Would women wait until sunset to go and draw their water at
a communal well?"  Many women would be coming there to draw their water.  Drawing
water is slow, especially if the well is deep.  If one waits until after sunset, and happens to
be at the end of the line, one would be carrying her water home in the dark.  Not very
logical is it?  If they drove their sheep there for water, much water would have to be
drawn.  This seems to be a reference to the evening of noon, what we call afternoon –
sometimes referred to in the Bible as, "between the evenings".
